Women’s Breakfast for Everyone

During the month of November, Violence Against Women, Services Elgin County recognizes Woman Abuse Prevention Month by hosting a “Women’s Breakfast for Everyone.”  This year the event took place on Thursday November 3, 2011, from  7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m at the St. Thomas Seniors Centre: 225 Chestnut Street, St. Thomas

Women, men, and young people were invited to come together for breakfast, dialogue, and a moment to celebrate all in the community who are working to make St. Thomas and Elgin County safer for women and children.

Chantelle Diachina, a Wayne State University Grad and former Detroit Public School Teacher, joined us this year to share her story abuse she endured in her life.

Please be sure to join us next year on November 1, 2012!
