National Day of Remembrance

Twenty seven years ago, on December 6th 1989, fourteen female students were gunned down at Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal because they were women.  Each year we have come together as a community to remember them and all women and children who have died from abuse and violence.

Beginning this year and going forward, the annual candlelight ceremony will not be held.  Rather in 2017 new opportunities will be planned with our community to continue bringing our energies and actions together as women and men, colleagues and community partners, and citizens in our joint efforts to make our corner of the world safer for women and children.
